Congratulations to McGill University for its victory at Laskin
Woods wishes to congratulate Myriam Lahmidi, Sandrine Raquepas, Michel Bélanger-Roy and Thomas Touchie, law students at McGill University, for their victory at the Laskin national moot competition, which was held in Vancouver on March 4th and 5th 2016. The McGill teams were supported and trained since the beginning of the academic year by Mtre. Samuel Bachand and Mtre. Audrey Bourassa from our firm.
The two teams from McGill University made it to the finals, where they pleaded before a panel which included Justice Brown of the Supreme Court of Canada and Justice Hilton of the Quebec Court of Appeal. The students were not only crowned champions of this moot competition but they also won the prize for the fourth best factum. Woods also wishes to congratulate Myriam Lahmidi and Thomas Touchie for their performances for which they received the prize of best tandem of litigators, while Sandrine Raquepas and Michel Bélanger-Roy received the prize for the second best tandem of litigators. Finally, Thomas Touchie also won the prize for the second best litigator.
