Bogdan-Alexandru Dobrota maintains a practice focused on complex commercial disputes, cross-border litigation, insolvency matters, and international arbitration. He has represented bankruptcy trustees and leading industry creditors in insolvency proceedings in Québec, including matters with cross-border components. Alex is also the author of numerous publications and reference works, including a chapter in Halsbury’s Laws of Canada on bankruptcy estates and the order of distribution, which is frequently cited by the courts.

The Honourable Clément Gascon is a former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. Over the course of more than seventeen years on the Canadian judiciary, he served on the Supreme Court of Canada, the Quebec Court of Appeal, and the Quebec Superior Court. He also served as Coordinating Judge of the Commercial Division of the Superior Court, which hears all commercial matters, including proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA), the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA), and federal and provincial corporate statutes. In 2021, Clément was named Honourary Member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada (IIC). The Honourary Membership is for individuals who have tremendously contributed to the profession.
