Woods Announces Two New Partners, Marie-Pier Cloutier and Olivier Archambault-Lafond

Marie-Pier Cloutier represents clients in high stakes cases before trial and appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Marie-Pier acts in class actions, telecommunications and broadcasting law, administrative law, energy law, commissions of inquiry, and defamation cases.

Marie-Pier actively fosters the professional development of individuals within and outside the firm. A graduate of McGill University with degrees in both civil and common law, for several years she trained the faculty’s team for the Laskin National Moot Court Competition in constitutional and administrative law. She is a member of the Quebec and Ontario bars.

Olivier Archambault-Lafond has successfully managed trials, arbitration, and appellate court proceedings, across diverse array of industries. His expertise ranges from contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, professional liability, defamation, employment law, and class actions.

Olivier exhibits a high level of expertise in handling complex legal challenges with extensive knowledge of pertinent laws and adept technical skills. He is a graduate of McGill University in both civil and common law and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science degree from the same university. He is a member of the Quebec bar.
