Woods welcomes three new lawyers
Woods LLP is glad to count Léanie Cardinal, Catherine Mathieu and Jessy Héroux as new members of its team.
After beginning is career as a law clerk to the Honourable François Doyon at the Court of Appeal, Mtre Héroux practiced as a criminal defense lawyer in Québec City, specializing in white collar crime and appellate litigation. From 2015 to 2016, he joined the Chambers of the Honorable Suzanne Côté at the Supreme Court of Canada. Mtre Heroux has a diverse litigation practice representing companies and individuals in business criminal law and regulatory matters. He is a skilled communicator, with a passion for public speaking and advocacy.
Léanie Cardinal begins her career as a lawyer. She holds a degree in civil law under the cooperative education program of the Université de Sherbrooke and is developing a diverse practice in civil and commercial litigation, including class actions, consumer protection and contractual disputes.
Member of the Quebec Bar since February 2016, Catherine joined Woods after having clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada for the Honorable Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin. Having completed a Bachelor in Public Affairs and International Relations as well as a Master in Constitutional Law, Catherine has a rich experience in public law.
