Alexandra Fabre and Omar El Baba, new lawyers at Woods

Woods is proud to announce that Alexandra Fabre and Omar El Baba, recently sworn in, have chosen to continue their career with our team. They have successfully completed their articling with the firm, demonstrating their dedication and excellence in the field of litigation.

Alexandra Fabre specializes in complex civil and commercial litigation. Holding a law degree and an MBA, she is interested in all facets of litigation while nurturing a strong interest in constitutional and Indigenous law. She has worked as a research assistant for Judges Daniel Royer and France Dulude at the Superior Court of Quebec. Her commitment to Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) earned her the Marie-Claude Landry Award as well as the Chief Justice Richard Wagner Award.

Omar El Baba is developing a practice in civil and commercial litigation, handling client representation before courts and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. He articled with our firm in 2024, after being admitted to the Egyptian Bar, where he practiced for over three years. His international experience also extends to Paris, where he completed several internships with renowned law firms. He has worked on international commercial and investment arbitration cases, including before ICSID, ICC, CRCICA (Cairo) and DIAC (Dubai) tribunals, notably in the construction and energy sectors.

Woods is very proud to welcome two other talented professionals to its team and to confirm its tradition of hiring articling students.
